Consumer insights pose the ‘what ifs.’ Technology points to answers

Often, the key to implementing consumer insights lies in using the right technology to deliver an answer. Technology scouting gives you a framework to have answers. Here are four places to look for the technology you need:

  • Technologies from the past. In particular, look at other industries
  • Solutions that are under development now. Know the value chain and where you might find solutions
  • Future technology. You can’t know “what,” but you can know “who”—both people and organizations—are on the leading edge
  • Bundled technology solutions. Find the parts that put the whole together
