This tool is designed to look internally into the organizations past, not commercialized projects and identify projects that may now be relevant. Many of these projects already have a lot of the work completed and can be commercialized more quickly than new projects. For a variety of reasons like, funding and resource constraints, management changes, consumer readiness and changing priorities, good bottom line projects are left on the table. This process efficiently dredges up and harvests these projects. This technique/tool provides a rich source of ideas/projects that can literally deliver millions of dollars of new growth or productivity to the organization or business unit, often in months rather than years and at a reduced cost, because much of the work has already been done. Efficient dredging can save time in ideation and brainstorming
